Making comics, wallpapers, a site layout, anything you like– take and use these freely. Note that the collection is not all-inclusive (yet!) and if you’d like to rip and submit something, I’ll gladly post it.

    Good. My friend, He calls himself Sonic754, he says he has the Vortex Jellyfish sprite for Ecco I. I’ll contact him ASAP, and then I’ll try to have him patch them in.

    Someone needs to grab (no pun intended) those tentacle creatures from The Lagoon in the first game. For some reason they scared me worse than any other enemy in the game, at least until I got to the Vortex stages.

    Since those were composed of individual segments being dynamically moved by the game program it might be tricky to assemble something that looks just right– they really had no fixed animations. But the individual segments could be captured…

    Those things were jerks. Especially when they grabbed you in Dark Water and dragged you into the volcano which would then kill you.

    Nevertheless:

    That’s the color it uses there, at least. Other levels have different colors.

    These are fantastic, though I must admit they look very different in game. The arctic sharks appear much more intimidating. Where are those flying future dolphins?
